Week of November 21st, 2016

We will not be starting a new story in Reading this week. Instead, we will use Thanksgiving and fall stories to enhance the skills we have been learning. We will be working on Characters, Setting, Main Idea, Classifying, and Sequence while learning about the first Thanksgiving. We will discuss the feeling of appreciation and talk about traditions.

Our Phonics lessons will continue to blend sounds and segment words. We will practice rhyming and review syllable identification. Letter sounds are being rehearsed daily.

Math’s Topic 3 (Six to Ten) will be continued this week. It is important to practice number writing daily!
